Description of Research Interest

The group for Trace Element and Micro Analysis develops techniques for major, minor and trace element analysis. Laser based tissue imaging - time of flight -mass spectrometry as well as bulk determinations of elements in urine and blood are carried out using state of the art inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
Furthermore, methods for composition, size and number determinations of bulk and single nanoparticles have been developed and could be tested on medical samples.
