Area of Research

Description of Research Interest

My lab aims to preserve a healthy hematopoietic stem cell pool throughout the lifespan through targeted dietary interventions. We are pursuing interdisciplinary projects that integrate genetic models, dietary treatments, primary human patient samples, and advanced bioinformatics analysis, along with analysis of human based-AI data. We have developed cutting-edge omics approaches (including transcriptomics, metabolomics, chromatin accessibility, and histone modifications) and single-cell techniques, opening unprecedented opportunities to explore the metabolic and epigenetic features of rare cell populations, such as dormant hematopoietic stem cells. Our ultimate goal is to apply nutritional strategies to prevent the irreversible decline of the hematopoietic system associated with aging and target diseases such as leukemia.

Special Expertise

  • Metabolic and epigenetic regulation of hematopoietic stem cells during differentiation, ageing, and leukemogenesis.
  • Development and optimization of low-input technologies, including low-input metabolomics, ATAC-seq, and multi-omic approaches.
  • Modulation of detrimental inflammation through targeted regulation of hematopoietic stem cells in various disease contexts, including myocardial infarction.
  • Clinical studies exploring dietary interventions and myocardial infarction.

Shareable Platforms, Services, Equipment & Infrastructure

  • Low-input technologies, including low-input metabolomics, ATAC-seq, and multi-omic approaches.
